Mountain Brook City Schools, Presenting to CNP

Foodservice Rotations

I was fortunate enough to be able to intern at Grandview Medical Center where I had the opportunity to work in food production, delivery, and in food management. My second rotation was at Mountain Brook City Schools, where I was able to participate in management meetings, food production and menu design for the children in the school system.

Clinical Rotations

For my clinical rotations, I was honored to intern at Shelby Ridge Rehab Select, UAB West and Children's Rehab Services. While at these rotations I was able to work with patients in both the acute and the chronic care setting, as well as in multiple pediatric clinic. Learning a lot from all three of  my preceptors, other medical disciplines, and from the patients themselves!

Community Rotations

My first community rotation was a wine shop located in Mountain Brook village where I also currently work part-time as a shift management. While interning here, I was able to work in a public health setting and interpret information about food, as well as ensure patrons have adequate knowledge about their choice. I am currently looking forward to interning at DCH Diabetes and Nutrition Education Center.

Professional Goals and Motivations

1 || Serve the Community

My one true passion is giving. I Hope to provide people with necessities, that may help them live more fully.

2 || Provide Information Without Bias

Living in a diverse community is something that I find great pride in. I hope to provide to those from differing backgrounds without any bias, and with evidence-based recommendations.

3 || Invest In Others

My path to this moment was lined with people who fought for me to succeed, I hope to be that person for others whom I may help to find a future in their own pursuits.
